THERMOMIX

October is a great month for new beginnings – why?

Schools and universities go back after the Summer holidays, parents get back to work, parents start looking for ideas and inspirations for delicious and new foods to feed their family, and a sense of newness creeps under our skin.

As you may have read on my Social Media feeds, I have recently become a Thermomix advisor and representative through the love of owning my own Thermomix for the last 4 months and getting truly creative with the recipes it can create, both for home cooking as well as for professional cooking (private catering as well as cooking classes).

Around 4 months ago, my friend came over with her Thermomix to show me how to make vegan meringues, which is one recipe I simply COULD NOT conquer to make however she whipped it up for me in this jug looking blender and within a couple of hours, we had delicious light and fluffy #veganmeringues 😁 I was amazed.

However she continued to make 2 other dishes simply to show me some of the other functions of the Thermomix: one was a delicious broccoli, apple and red pepper salad with pine nuts and the dressing, all put in at once and after literally a few seconds of mixing, it was done! Voila! Again I was amazed.

Thirdly we made a 3 bean chilli with rice, yes even this 'thing called the Thermomix' makes rice. Now as a Persian who cooks fluffy rice with a 'crispy bottom' I was intrigued how well rice can come out being cooked in this jug like mixer HOWEVER it worked. The rice came out fluffy and was cooked in ONLY 20 minutes and the chilli, WOW it was truly delicious!

Instantly I was hooked. As a keen cook and professional chef, since then, the Thermomix has become a useful kitchen accessory that truly gets used every day, whether for family cooking or whether it goes out on the road to me to be my reliable and very useful assistant in cooking classes or whilst catering.

I can not begin to 'BIG UP' the benefits of the Thermomix and therefore I want to give you the opportunity to book a 'Cooking Experience' with me so I can truly show you how well it cooks, the variety of dishes it can create as well as show you that even the laziest of cooks, the ones who DON'T have enough time to cook, the ones who can't think of what to cook can make this 'mean machine' work for them.

Each day I cook something new or even repeat some recipes I love, I am amazed and in awe of what the Thermomix can do and what it can create and how it functions.

In addition to the Thermomix, which actually creates the amazing dishes for you, this machine mostly relies on a built in application called ‘COOKIDOO’ which has over 70,000 recipes (and there are PLENTY of plant-based and gluten free recipes for you to choose from) that you can choose the recipes from and it guides you, step by step, on how to cook it.

Hence, I wanted to take the time out to write a little more about the thermomix so you too can see the benefits of ALL that it has to offer.

Some of the different functionalities it has to offer are:

-       Ferments

-       Steams

-       Sous Vide

-       Whips and Whisks

-       Slow Cooks

-       Sautés, browns and caramelises

-       Chops

-       Blends

-       Weighs

-       Cleans itself (YES IT TRULLY DOES - although you simply have to rinse off afterwards)

-       Guides you through 70,000 plus recipes (through a built in app called COOKIDOO which is linked up through to the Thermomix)

-       Plus so much more………

The reason for writing this article is not to try to promote and sell you a new kitchen appliance, it is simply to share with you the new found respect I have for a new piece of machinery that can truly revolutionise dishes you create in the kitchen as well as seeing others who aren’t professional cooks finding that guided cooking gives you much more confidence in the kitchen and enables you to get creative.  In addition, with all that we are dealing with financially in this world of ours, the Thermomix can help reduce food waste (using up ingredients we already have and getting creative with them) as well as saving energy costs.

For those of you who struggle coming up with recipes to cook day in day out for yourself and your family, for those who simply don’t have the time to cook, for those who only cook for themselves and find it pointless cooking for one, for those looking to cook healthy & nutritious meals in short space of time, for those who need inspiration, for those who value their time, for those who lack the energy both mentally and physically and don’t know what to cook and how, this is the ONE kitchen appliance you need in the kitchen.

If you would like to book a cooking experience with me and see how the Thermomix works and its many benefits, if you would like to find out more, then please get in touch.

Here are some of the dishes I cooked up using my Thermomix.
