The Beginning of Rooted Vegan Kitchen

So much has changed over the past year.  I believe that during ‘COVID’ we have all been forced to make certain changes in our life.

For me, personally, my business as it was, Virtuoso Foods, took a hit.

The main part to my business, was offering private catering for those running retreats as well as for weddings and business functions however, with the initial lockdown back in March 2020, this side of the business was heavily impacted!

Like many of us, I took a look at life and started to re-assess where I was at and where I wanted to be.  Along with looking after my mum who is 80 years young and learning more about her daily challenges and looking into ways of keeping her safe and healthy during these uncertain times, I decided that I wanted to expand my knowledge of nutrition and all things ‘health and wellbeing’.

Having more time on my hands and wanting to use my time effectively, I signed up for an online course to learn about Nutrition, specifically around Vegetarian and Vegan foods and therefore proudly becoming certificated in this area in mid 2020.  With this newly qualified skill and with previous skills and experiences behind me (Macrobiotics, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Lifestyle Coaching), I decided that I wanted to work more in this area, holistically, and help people with my knowledge and skills to make positive lifestyle changes.

Hence, Rooted Vegan Kitchen (RVK) was born.

Rooted Vegan Kitchen is a new ‘Holistic’ business offering Nutritional Coaching and Mentoring, understanding ways in which to make changes to our diet and lifestyle as well as offering Personalised Meal Plans to assist in making your life easier by having the right tools to hand (preparation information, meal plans, shopping lists, recipes as well as a ‘food & mood’ diary sheet) in order to understand better the foods we choose to eat.  All this along with a small online shop are the new offerings from this new business.

This is not to say that when the world returns to ‘normal,’ we won’t go back to offering private catering as this was always a popular part to our previous business model, however, for now, this will not be a main part of RVK.

Whom can I most help and work with in making positive lifestyle changes?

-       Anyone struggling to eat a nutritious balanced vegan diet

-       Anyone who wants to transition from eating a meat/dairy based diet more towards a vegetarian/vegan diet

-       Those struggling with their energy levels and needing to understand the foods that can help them regain control over their life with much more energy and enthusiasm

-       Families who enjoy a variety of diets however want to enjoy much more plant-based foods

-       Those too busy to cook whole-foods at home and rely heavily on ready-made and processed foods (including take-aways)

-       Anyone who suffers with intolerances and needs inspiration to cook whole-foods at home to improve their health and wellbeing through good nutrition

-       During these difficult times, those who want to improve their immunity levels through good nutrition especially children and seniors

The list above is endless and I truly believe that good health comes from good nutrition and with this comes the understanding of the ingredients we choose to eat, good planning of our meals, some lifestyle changes, some form of movement incorporated into our day and some support, equalling to a happier and healthier life!

If you would like to discuss this further and find out more about ways I can work with you to reach some of your health goals, please contact me by email and I will arrange for us to have an informal chat.
